Palo Alto, USA - April 9th, 2013 - new Working Group on Cloud Forensics to start in May 2013, led by Dr. Keyun Ruan, CRO of XENSIX Inc.
CLOUD FORENSICS is a cross-discipline between cloud computing and digital forensics, overseeing the application of science to the identification, examination, collection and analysis of data while preserving information and maintaining a strict chain of custody for the data.
Rapid advancements as well as the increasing adoption of cloud computing are pushing digital forensics to a new level, bringing numerous challenges and opportunities. The cloud is soon becoming a new battlefield for cybercrime as well as a breeding ground for innovative investigative approaches.
The Cloud Credential Council’s objective is to accelerate successful cloud adoption through world-class cloud training and certification. On the topic of Cloud Forensics the CCC has formed a working group led by leading researcher Dr. Keyun Ruan, CRO at XENSIX to develop a whitepaper and syllabus on cloud forensics standards for global training and certification.
“In addition to the CCC certifications we are releasing for cloud architects, developers, and other domains we are excited to be developing the curriculum for Cloud Forensics in cooperation with Dr. Keyun Ruan from XENSIX. We welcome technology vendors, law enforcement departments, academia, and others to join the Cloud Credential Council and participate in this exciting new chapter” - says Executive Director Marcel Heilijgers.
