Cloud Credential Council FAQ

Cloud Credential Council membership is based on corporate rather than individual memberships, so if you work for an existing member company you may already have member privileges.

Your membership will be activated as soon as your signed membership application form and agreements are received.

There are no prerequisites, however we strongly encourage candidates to take a training course through a Training Member.

Both Certification Exams are applicable to, but not limited to:

• IT Support Staff
• IT Consultants
• Business Managers
• Business Analysts
• Small and Midsized Business Owners
• Specialists (IT, security, infrastructure, services, systems, test, and so on)
• Business Process Owners E3
• IT Developers
• Service Providers
• System Integrators
• Architects
• Consultants
• IT Management

Training for the Cloud Certification Program is available from the network of Certified Training Partners who are assessed and certified to provide accredited training programs. The full list of Training Partners can be found here.
Only these organizations are authorized to deliver the Cloud Essentials and Virtualization Essentials courses.

No, however this is recommended. In addition to receiving accredited training, individuals also have the option of self-study to prepare for the examinations. You can take the exam through a network of testing centers worldwide

The vast majority of Certified Training Partners include the examinations as part of the associated training course. Alternatively, and for individuals that have self-studied, testing centers administer public exam sessions around the world.

The Exam is currently available in English. During 2012 the exam will also become available in French, Spanish, Japanese and Portuguese.

Virtualization Essentials™ / Cloud Essentials answer sheets are marked by the examination providers for the exams. The results will be shown immediately for online exams and for paper based exams it will take several days.

Candidates who have passed the Cloud Essentials examination are encouraged to use CompTIA Cloud Essentials™ Professional(CEP) on their business cards, resumes or other documents and media where professional designations are appropriately used. Candidates who passed the Virtualization Foundation exam are encouraged to do the same and display the words use Virtualization Essentials™ Professional(VEP).

Only licensed organizations are allowed to use the Cloud Credential Council logo. The CCC logo may not be used without their permission or appropriate license.

An organization wishing to become a Member must first submit an Interest form. After accepting the membership application there is a standard Agreement shared with the organization and if required an invoice sent.
